Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
The statistics of an item are enhanced by upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment boosts the stat linearly.
Players can recycle six items at a time to gauge the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items increases depending on their rarity and level.
Upgrade components
An upgrade for an item in Guild Wars 2 is a process that can increase the effectiveness of your armor and weapons. This can be accomplished through a variety of methods, including by using upgrade components or by increasing the rarity of an item or its mark level. In addition, many items can be reforged to boost their stats even more.
Upgradeable items can be found in the game, both around the world and as rewards for missions. Players can also make them. Upgrade components are the main method to upgrade equipment. Most upgrade components slotted into items cannot be replaced or salvaged without removing the gear in question, except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use, but it hasn't been applied to gear yet, you can move the item to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create the new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.
If you are looking to remove a glyph from a piece of, you will need to salvage it using an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. These rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button which alters the layout of the item window and allows up to six items to recycle. Recycling an item adds small amount of points to its level gauge. This amount is determined by the item's rarity and its level, which means higher-level items are more valuable to recycle than lower level ones.
Players can also make use of Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling Weapon Traits for upgraded units. A reroll will roll the percentage chance of a particular weapon trait; if it rolls higher, the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower, it remains unchanged. Weapons can be repeated up to three times.
