WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade increases the item level by +3. A random additional substat is also added to every upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.
Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used for weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgrade rs NPCs for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon or armor. The button will show the preview of an item's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current item level. For instance, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount and the chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items in the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a benefit and an issue.
In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. Once the player has upgraded to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items come from another set of gear.
The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is cut also, but is only available once certain milestones are reached.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW players have a few options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific level upgrades for items. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complex requires as many as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through tasks at the appropriate level. item upgrading could mean engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain lower-level gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons with heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.
The use of these currencies isn't too complicated however, the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
Another notable change is that crests have one usage therefore it's essential to use them wisely. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
